Daily Cleaning

For everyday cleaning:

• Use warm water with a mild detergent or dishwashing liquid.
• Wipe the surface with a soft cloth or microfibre cloth.
• Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
• Dry immediately with a clean, soft cloth to prevent water spots.

For brushed stainless steel surfaces, always wipe with the direction of the grain, never across it.

Removing Stubborn Stains

For grease, fingerprints, or stubborn marks:

• Use methylated spirits, isopropyl alcohol, or a stainless steel cleaner.
• Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
• Dry completely after cleaning.

For tea stains or light surface discolouration:

• Apply a paste of baking soda and water using a soft cloth.
• Gently wipe with the grain.
• Rinse and dry thoroughly.

What to Avoid

To protect your stainless steel products, do not use:

• Bleach or chlorine-based cleaners
• Hydrochloric acid or muriatic acid
• Steel wool, wire brushes, or abrasive scourers
• Harsh abrasive powders or cleaners

These products can damage the protective surface of stainless steel and may cause staining, pitting, or corrosion. Chlorine-based products are particularly harmful to all grades of stainless steel.

Regular Maintenance

To keep your stainless steel looking its best:

• Clean regularly, especially after heavy use.
• Remove food residue, grease, salt, and cleaning chemicals promptly.
• Always dry the surface after washing.
• In commercial kitchens, frequent cleaning is recommended to maintain hygiene and appearance.

Coastal & Outdoor Environments

Our standard stainless steel products are designed for indoor commercial use.

Products manufactured from 201, 304, or 430 stainless steel should not be installed outdoors or in coastal environments where they are exposed to salt air or harsh weather conditions. These environments significantly increase the risk of tea staining and corrosion.

For outdoor or coastal applications, we recommend 316-grade stainless steel, which offers superior corrosion resistance in aggressive environments.
